DORO Performs In China; Photos, Video Footage Available

German metal queen Doro Pesch played her first shows ever in China on November 15 and November 16 in Guangzhou and Beijing, respectively, in conjunction with a three-year exhibition/festival/culture exchange project initiated by the Chinese and German governments. According to a posting on Doro's web site, more than 30,000 people turned up to watch her perform.

Commented Doro: "The gigs were just awesome. The fans really partied out during the shows. I would not have expected them to be that much into metal and my music, especially as these were my first shows in China."

Doro Pesch will release a new single, "Herzblut", on December 12 via AFM Records. It will feature four versions of the title track, each recorded in a different language.

"Celebrate (The Night Of The Warlock)", the latest single from Doro Pesch, recently registered the following chart positions:

Germany: #75
Spain: #20

"Celebrate (The Night Of The Warlock)" was released in Germany on October 31 and most of the rest of Europe on November 3 via AFM Records. The EP contains three versions of the single's title cut "Celebrate" — including one that features guest appearances by Liv Kristine (LEAVES' EYES),Veronica Freeman (BENEDICTUM),GIRLSCHOOL, Floor Jansen (AFTER FOREVER) and Angela Gossow (ARCH ENEMY),and another that was recorded with the help of Biff Byford (SAXON).

Pesch will celebrate her 25th anniversary as a performer with a special concert in her hometown of Düsseldorf, Germany on December 13 at the ISS Dome. Also scheduled to appear are ARCH ENEMY and LEAVES' EYES, among other acts.
